Heritage charm revived circa 2012

Artisanale Saligao

Artisanale Saligao situated in the heart of one of the prettier North Goa villages, is close to the famous Calangute, Candolim and Baga beaches, and is a 15 minute ride to Anjuna and Vagator beaches. Artisanale Saligao invites you to quiet walks along village paths, winding through magnificent homes and village taverns. The evenings could be spent at the rustic village tavern, Cantare, run by a local villager. The gothic church, Museum of Goa, and the popular local eating place for chicken cafreal, are all within strolling distance. Saligao was home to the world famous artist Francis Newton Souza... and once here, you realize what could have brought out the artist in him.

What we have to offer at Artisanale Saligao

Artisanale Saligao has two ensuite AC bedrooms and a courtyard with a well at the centre. We have a large AC living room and a dining room. The courtyard with its well in the centre, will be the obvious focal point of your stay, be it for the morning coffee or the evening swig. We have an power inverter in the house so you do not have to worry about common light failures. Our own well water is pumped into the bathrooms and toilets so you do not have to worry about contaminated water. The kitchen has its set of pots/ pans/ ladels et al and is also stocked with the basic Indian spices. Our housekeeper, Darshan has been with us for over 10 years and is well tuned into our guests needs. She is lovely to have around. Do check in with her, if you could drop by her place to meet her lovely family and her badly behaved chickens.
